It’s true that we rely on these truckers to keep our infrastructure and economy running, but they’re also the foundation of our communities. They deliver the goods we need to keep our fast-paced lives going. Without truckers, the economy would come to a screeching halt.

Without truck drivers keeping transport going, the United States and the global economy would crash. Trucking is a huge business in the United States, accounting for 70% of all freight transportation.

U.S. truckers drive more than 430 billion miles and carry over 10 billion tons of freight each year. With population growth, greater consumption of goods, and increased demand from e-commerce and online shopping, these numbers will continue to rise into the foreseeable future.

HOW MANY TRUCKERS ARE THERE IN THE UNITED STATES?
